Green Mommas & Grandmothers Circle Monthly Call – Join us!
The zoom number is: Click here to zoom in to the call
Women with children struggle with the challenge of how to bring Earth-centered values into their daily lives. I hear women tell me this all the time, so I am pleased to offer a Green Mommas Coaching Circle and you are invited!
The purpose of this group is to have a monthly place to share your hopes and dreams for raising children who are connected to the Earth.
Together we will explore ways to bring more awareness to your role as an Earth-centered mother and how to help support your family system to live green Earth-centered values.
We will explore the stressors and concerns of the climate crisis. You will learn ways of coping, including the “Active Hope” process as designed by deep ecologist Joanna Macy. And you will learn from each other.

Helene and Sunder are Green Women dedicated to having powerful conversations that lead to healing and transformation.
We ALWAYS meet the third Wednesday of each month at 1pm by Zoom.
Adjust for your time zone: Eastern: 1pm * Central Noon * Mountain 11am * Pacific 10am

The calls are co-led by Helene and Sunder Michelle. We will provide for you a safe, welcoming and nurturing environment where you can share and learn from others on the Green Mother/Grandmothering path.
This will be your place to ask questions, listen, learn and grow yourself. There is no prep to participate and no pressure to do or be anything for this group – except come with an open mind and warm heart. Women already have enough demands and deadlines!
This circle is offered free of charge for women who believe in science, climate change and living healthy. It is for discussing, sharing and learning – it is NOT for debating or convincing others of your point of view. Donations appreciated.
Each month there will be a different topic and each call is stand alone – so you won’t miss anything if you miss a month.
Our goal will be for you to come away feeling supported, informed and inspired.
This is NOT a therapy group but may include open sharing and powerful feelings (which may include tears).
Our monthly topics will include:
- What is a Green Mom? How to be an Activist Mom.
- Managing grief and building resilience as Mothers facing climate change. Holding Grief, Rage and Hope simultaneously as a Green Mama.
- Conspicuous Consumerism: How to bring awareness and intentionality into your family holiday season.
- Nourishing Yourself by creating Green Momma Altars.
- Winter Solstice: How to let go but also show up as a Green Mother.
- Self Care For Green Moms: Understanding trauma, boundaries and moving beyond overgiving.
- How to Bring Nature Into Your Families (no matter how old your children are)
- And more.

Helene Van Manen is a Green Grandmother, Master Coach and the Founder of RetreatCoaches.com. She brings her love of women and children into her work and leads a Green Women’s Leadership program that supports women to find their Earthwork. You may find her dressed as “Mother Nature” delighting children in the forest or training women to grow successful businesses and careers. As a young mother she always gathered all the children and took them down to the creek. Most important, Helene combines her skills and talents as a women’s coach with her deep concern about the climate crisis and designs ways she can reach women who want to make a difference in the world.

Sunder Michelle lives on Vashon Island near Seattle, WA with her 2 school age kids, plus 2 dogs, 2 guinea pigs, 2 frogs & lots of dandelions. Sunder is influenced by her study and experience of Permaculture, Transformative Leadership, mental health-iness, world religions, the perspective gained from loss, and most of all her personal spiritual love affair with Nature. Sunder also finds true expressiveness and meaning-making through music and dance. A family music making teacher by trade: Earthy, musical, reverent, community oriented, silly and somatic, this is Sunder.
